WHO ARE WE?
DACKANA Community Home based care and OVC support project is a Non-governmental, not for profit making organization formed in the year 2003.
It is a community initiative by five compounds in Kaputula ward and its headquarters is situated in Kaputula shanty compound, approximately 8kms from Kabwe town centre off the Great North Road to Ndola.
In the year 2006 and 2008, DACKANA Home Based Care scaled out its activities to Kabwe rural, Kapiri, and Chibombo Districts.
A healthy, enlightened and productive community free from HIV and AIDS.
DACKANA exists in order to provide holistic support to vulnerable households, in particular to children in worst forms of child labour by preventing, withdrawing, integrating them back in schools and providing necessary information and skills that enable children and families prevent and control HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections, and Tuberculosis.
